Overview
Monitor your own applications with a self-hosted Sentry template on Railway.
This community template collects errors, structured logs and traces from applications in the same Railway environment. It uses persistent databases and private object storage, with an authenticated public interface.
Quickstart
Deploy the template and connect your first application.
Sending data
Run the included Node, Python and Go examples.
Architecture
Understand the services, storage and network boundaries.
Live demo
Explore synthetic errors, logs and traces.
Scope
The pinned Sentry runtime is 26.9.0, recorded in images.lock.json. The profile supports error tracking, structured logs and linked parent and child trace spans. It includes automatic initialization and per-install generated credentials.
This is a single-node profile. It is not a high-availability deployment. Replay, profiling, feedback, uptime, cron, AI features and legacy metrics are excluded. Invitation and password-reset email require your own SMTP configuration.
Network boundary
The public Gateway serves the authenticated interface. SDK traffic enters through a separate private listener in the same Railway environment. Browser and mobile applications outside that environment cannot send data to this profile. A local laptop cannot reach a private DSN through railway run.
Images and licensing
The template uses pinned, official unmodified upstream images as build inputs. Startup wrappers add configuration and a pinned S3 nodestore integration. Upstream Sentry binaries and source are not patched. The Relay adapter copies the official unmodified binary into its wrapper image. See the third-party notices.
